Overview

AGRA, in collaboration with IACL, has launched the Agri SME Enterprise Support Program for youth- and women-led agribusinesses in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda and Tanzania.

The programme will select 100 enterprises, with 20 enterprises from each participating country, to strengthen their operations, expand market access, improve supply chains and create more inclusive economic opportunities for young people and women.

Who Can Apply?

The call is open to commercially active agribusinesses that:

  • Are youth-led or women-led
  • Operate within an agricultural or food value chain
  • Demonstrate active commercial operations and credible growth potential
  • Work in areas such as production, aggregation, processing, input supply, logistics, services or market access
  • Work with, source from or provide services to farmers and other agricultural value-chain actors
  • Are willing to participate in an enterprise diagnostic and provide the required information

Eligible Countries

The programme targets enterprises in:

Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda and Tanzania.

Programme Support

Selected enterprises will undergo a structured business diagnostic covering areas including their business model, financial management, production and aggregation capacity, supplier systems, quality management, certification readiness, market access, employment and inclusion, digital systems and growth potential.

Based on the results, tailored support may include:

  • Business and financial management support
  • Supply-chain and supplier-system strengthening
  • Quality, food safety and traceability support
  • Certification and regulatory readiness planning
  • Market positioning and buyer preparation
  • Coaching and specialised technical assistance
  • Investor readiness and financial linkages
  • Development of a practical 12–18-month growth and job-creation plan

How to Apply

Eligible enterprises should apply through the programme’s designated online application link and provide complete and accurate information for assessment.

Enterprise support organisations, business associations, incubators, accelerators and agribusiness networks are also encouraged to share the opportunity with eligible businesses.
