Description
The European Commission has launched Africa Initiative IV under the Horizon Europe work programme 2026–2027, allocating approximately €605.45 million to support EU–Africa cooperation in research and innovation (R&I) for 30 calls for proposals.
Building on the outcomes of the first three Africa Initiatives, Africa Initiative IV introduces 30 calls for proposals supporting joint EU–Africa research and innovation projects. The initiative contributes directly to the implementation of the AU–EU Innovation Agenda, addressing agreed short-, medium-, and long-term priorities.
