This Youth Day, African Futures is launching our Young Changemakers Competition for the African Futures Conference 2026 – our search for the next generation of African leaders, innovators, creatives and storytellers shaping the continent's future.

What kind of Africa do you want to see in 2050, and what choices will help make that future a reality?

If you're between 18 and 35 and have a bold idea, vision, story, innovation or perspective on Africa's future, this is your platform. Join the next cohort of Young Changemakers and have your ideas recognised on a continental stage. Five finalists will join us in Pretoria, South Africa, to attend and present at the African Futures Conference 2026.
