Overview
The GIZ-implemented Career Path Development for Employment (CPD4E) Project invites emerging and small non-profit and community-based organisations in South Africa to submit innovative ideas that promote employment within Just Energy Transition (JET) value chains. The competition is implemented by GFA Consulting Group GmbH on behalf of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
Objectives
The competition seeks innovative approaches that create or strengthen employment opportunities within the Just Energy Transition, particularly for communities located in designated Skills Development Zones.
Eligibility
Applications are open to emerging and small organisations, including:
- Non-profit organisations (NPOs)
- Community-based organisations (CBOs)
- Non-governmental organisations (NGOs)
- Similar organisations working with communities
Eligible organisations must work with communities in one or more of the following South African provinces:
- Northern Cape
- Mpumalanga
- Eastern Cape
Priority will be given to organisations serving youth, women, or persons living with disabilities.
Support Provided
Selected organisations will receive:
- Support in developing a full proposal
- Organisational capacity-building assistance
Application Process
Interested organisations must complete and submit their personal and organisational details to receive the full information pack by email. Applicants should ensure that all information submitted is accurate, as it will be used for subsequent correspondence concerning the competition.
