13th EDCTP Forum 2027 – Innovating Together for Resilient Global Health
Overview
The 13th EDCTP Forum will take place from 5–9 April 2027 in Madrid, Spain, under the theme “Innovating Together for Resilient Global Health.”
The biennial Forum is a major global health research event focused on advancing the fight against infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa. It brings together stakeholders from Africa and Europe to exchange knowledge, showcase scientific advances and strengthen cross-regional collaboration.
Around 1,500 participants are expected to attend in person.
Forum Focus
The Forum will explore how equitable partnerships, collaborative research, innovation and capacity-building can contribute to more resilient global health systems and drive progress across sub-Saharan Africa and Europe.
The event provides a platform to:

The Forum is hosted by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and Fundación CSAI (FCSAI) under Spain’s Ministry of Health, and co-organised by Global Health EDCTP3 and the EDCTP Association.
