Call for Proposals – Small Grants 2026 (Tanzania)

Basic information
The Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation (SlovakAid), in collaboration with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Dar es Salaam, has launched the Small Grants Call for Proposals 2026 in Tanzania.
Small Grants are part of Slovakia’s Official Development Assistance and support small-scale, locally driven development projects aimed at responding flexibly and effectively to community needs.
- Maximum grant per project: EUR 10,000
- Total allocation: EUR 10,000
- Project duration: 6–12 months
- Implementation starts upon signing of the Small Grant Agreement
Priority sectors
Projects must align with Slovakia’s Medium-term Strategy for Development Cooperation (2025–2030), including: education, health, governance and civil society, food security and agriculture, infrastructure and sustainable resource use, and support for market development.
Relevant SDGs include SDG 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, and 17.
Cross-cutting themes
All proposals must integrate cross-cutting priorities:
- Environment and climate change
- Gender equality
Eligible applicants
Eligible applicants include non-commercial legal entities, NGOs, and local or regional self-government units.
Deadline and submission
- Submission deadline: 30 June 2026 at 12:00
Applications must be submitted both:
- Electronically via email: [email protected]
- In hard copy to the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Dar es Salaam (Msasani Peninsula, Dar es Salaam)
Additional information
Applications that do not align with the thematic focus of the call will not be considered.
