Descrição

This call supports large-scale industrial demonstrations that accelerate the decarbonisation of European energy-intensive industries and strengthen EU competitiveness. It aims to bring innovative clean-tech solutions to market, proving their commercial viability and readiness for industrial-scale deployment.

Funded projects must:

  • Create first-of-a-kind demonstrators or optimise newly deployed decarbonisation technologies in industry.
  • Deliver credible business plans and exploitation strategies that demonstrate future clean-product market readiness.
  • Show that new technologies can reduce emissions, reduce energy/material use, and increase sustainability and resilience across EU industry.

Scope is limited to three technology areas with high EU growth potential, where applicants must select one main area (or combine them if integrated and justified):

Managing the carbon cycle (CCU / CCUS) – more efficient CO₂/CO capture, utilisation, storage and commercialisation (target: 30% lower energy input per ton captured).

Clean energy usage – electrification, hydrogen, on-site RES, circular heat recovery and energy-efficient processes (improvements targeted by 2035).

Circularity and resource-efficiency – 30% improvement in material, energy and water efficiency and reduced raw-material demand through circular value chains (LCA-positive, commercially viable).
