Emerging Trends in Digital Education Webinar Series

The Africa-Europe Innovation Platform (AEIP), in collaboration with the Association of African Universities (AAU), invites academics, researchers, librarians, research managers, and higher education professionals to participate in the next session of the Emerging Trends in Digital Education webinar series.

Topic: Open Science and Scholarly Communication

This session will explore the foundations of Open Science and examine how digital technologies are transforming scholarly communication and knowledge sharing. Participants will gain insights into key concepts and practices, including open access publishing, research data sharing, preprints, persistent identifiers such as ORCID and DOI, and the responsible use of research metrics.

The webinar will also highlight how open and collaborative research practices can enhance the visibility, accessibility, transparency, and impact of scholarly outputs across institutions and regions.
