Off the Record: Connecting Ideas & Building Business between Africa & Europe

Overview

The AGYLE African-European Leadership Programme, in cooperation with the Federation of German Industries (BDI), is organising Off the Record: Connecting Ideas & Building Business between Africa & Europe on 23 November 2026 in Accra, Ghana, ahead of the German-African Business Summit (GABS 2026).

The event will bring together a selected group of African and European entrepreneurs, business leaders, investors and AGYLE alumni to exchange ideas, explore business opportunities and strengthen economic cooperation between Africa and Europe.

Event Focus

Unlike traditional panel discussions, the event will provide an interactive setting for practical exchanges under the Chatham House Rule, encouraging open dialogue among participants.

The programme will feature short introductory pitches, followed by moderated conversation circles addressing cross-border partnerships, investment opportunities and market access. Dedicated networking sessions will allow participants to connect with potential business partners and explore opportunities for collaboration.

Who Should Attend?

The event targets African and European entrepreneurs, business leaders, investors and AGYLE alumni interested in strengthening business relationships between the two continents.

German companies attending GABS 2026 in Accra are specifically invited to register. Participation is limited, with places available to a selected group of attendees.

Expected Outcomes

The event aims to facilitate new business connections, encourage knowledge exchange and identify opportunities for Africa–Europe partnerships, investment and market expansion.

Through direct discussions and networking, participants will have opportunities to establish relationships that may lead to future business cooperation and joint initiatives.
