Urban Diplomacy and Innovation Community of Practice (CoP)
The Association of African Universities (AAU), in collaboration with the Institut für qualifizierende Innovationsforschung und -beratung GmbH (IQIB) is pleased to invite members and interested stakeholders to the third official meeting of the Urban Diplomacy Community of Practice (CoP) under the Africa-Europe Innovation Platform (AEIP).
Theme: Urban Innovation Diplomacy Ecosystem: Civil-Society Involvement and Multi-level
Effective urban diplomacy and innovation require the active participation of a diverse range of stakeholders operating across different levels of governance. Civil society organisations, local governments, regional authorities, academic institutions, and community groups all play critical roles in shaping inclusive and sustainable urban development.
This session will explore how multi-level governance structures and meaningful civil society engagement can strengthen urban innovation ecosystems, foster collaboration, and support more responsive and people-centred urban policies.
