About the event

This webinar is aimed at researchers and administrative staff who wish to collaborate with African partners on research and innovation. You will learn about the opportunities Horizon Europe offers to support such cooperation.

The EU seeks to strengthen its cooperation with Africa. The goal is to develop solutions tailored to local conditions and to address challenges that often affect Africa most severely.

Horizon Europe includes a wide range of calls that are well suited to collaboration with Africa. The European Commission will present the “Africa Initiative” for 2026 and 2027. The themes are based on the priorities agreed between the EU and the African Union in 2020 and include public health, the green transition, innovation and technology, and the strengthening of scientific capacity.
