Ahead of World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day 2026,  Expanded Special Project for Elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases (ESPEN) at the WHO Regional Office for Africa (WHO/AFRO) is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, 28 January, 15:00–16:00 CET. The session will review strategies for sustaining Africa’s achievements in combating neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) and advancing toward the 2030 road map.

The webinar will assess progress and lessons learnt in elimination of neglected tropical diseases across the African continent, and explore the critical role of partnerships in this endeavour, notably through stronger co-investment and collaboration.
