Bridging Continents through Innovation: Africa-Europe Innovation Dialogues 

The Africa-Europe Innovation Platform (AEIP) is organising its first event, Bridging Continents through Innovation: Africa-Europe Innovation Dialogues on 22 October 2025, in Brussels, Belgium. 

This event will be the first occasion in which actors along the innovation value chain – from policy makers, academia, start-ups and SMEs, investors and corporates, business support organisations and civil society – will gather to discuss the latest innovation developments and cooperation between Africa and Europe. Stakeholders will gather, connect, and foster dialogue about the different gaps and opportunities to drive innovation through cross-continental collaboration.  

Key moments participants can expect are the launching of the Platform: the Platform is an online space, acting as a network of networks, to bring together key actors in the Africa-Europe innovation ecosystem. Additional activities as part of the AEIP will also be presented such as Communities of Practice and Thematic Challenges. The event will also include a series of presentations, panel discussions, and activities to foster cross-stakeholder engagement. It will be organised in a hybrid (livestreamed) manner.  

In-person registrations will close on Monday, 13th, at 12:00 CEST.

Innovation Fair 2025

The Africa-Europe Innovation Dialogues is also taking place a day before the Innovation Fair on 23 October 2025, which will bring together AU-EU and Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) innovation cooperation actors, also in Brussels, Belgium, thereby presenting a unique opportunity for innovation actors to connect and discover the latest developments in the ecosystem.
