Thematic Challenge – Public Health

Welcome! 

This form is for organisations and individuals interested in joining the Thematic Challenge on the topic of the Public Health under the Africa-Europe Innovation Platform (AEIP). Through this activity, start-ups and entrepreneurs, established companies, students and researchers from research institutes and universities, and other organisations from both continents working on similar topics/issues will be matched to jointly address societal challenges related to Public Health through collaboration and innovation.

Following the Thematic Challenge on Green Transition, the second challenge within this framework will focus on the Public Health: How to improve equitable access to health technologies through vaccines and medicines manufacturing, local production capacity and value-chain development; strengthen health systems and community-level care; deploy digital tools, data and AI for health solutions; advance research on priority health areas and diseases; and enhance health security, resilience and preparedness for future health threats. These topics are drawn from the priority areas of the AU-EU Innovation Agenda. 

Selected participants will be able to connect with a peer partner organisation from the other continent (Africa-Europe) to explore joint initiatives, exchange knowledge, co-develop solutions, access new markets, access to further AEIP opportunities and have the chance to present your outcomes and solutions at the AEIP Stakeholder Meeting in 2026.
