Get ready for the 2026 AU-EU-Med Innovation Fair, with a focus on Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture!

Registration and Expressions of Interest are now open for the AU–EU–Mediterranean Innovation Fair on 25 November 2026. Organised by the European Commission, the African Union (AU), the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and CIHEAM Bari, the event will showcase innovations in Food, Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture (FNSSA) and connect innovators, researchers, investors and policymakers from Europe, Africa and the Mediterranean.

The 2026 AU-EU-Med Innovation Fair will bring together research, innovation and investment ecosystems from Africa, Europe and the Mediterranean region, to accelerate scale-up and commercialisation of transformative solutions for FNSSA.

Taking place on 25 November 2026 at CIHEAM Bari, Italy, and online, the Fair will connect researchers, entrepreneurs, start-ups, investors, policymakers and business support organisations from Africa, Europe and the Mediterranean. Participants will explore innovative technologies, build partnerships and identify opportunities to scale up impactful solutions.

The programme includes inspiring keynote discussions, catchy innovation pitches, matchmaking in a dedicated exhibition space, networking sessions, and awards recognising outstanding start-ups and SMEs.

The Fair is jointly organised by the African Union (AU), the European Union (EU) and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), in partnership with CIHEAM Bari, serving also as the local host. Held as part of the CIHEAM Mediterranean Innovation Agrifood Week (23–28 November 2026), the event offers a unique opportunity to engage with a vibrant international community dedicated to delivering innovations for more sustainable and resilient agrifood systems.

Innovative, science-based or deep tech start-ups and SMEs are invited to apply for pitching opportunities, while participants can register to attend either in person or online.
