Launch of the AEIP Twinning Programme
The Africa–Europe Innovation Platform (AEIP) is pleased to announce the launch of the AEIP Twinning Programme, a new initiative designed to connect Business Support Organisations (BSOs) across Africa and Europe. The programme aims to foster long-term collaboration while strengthening innovation ecosystems on both continents.
Each twinning pair will have the flexibility to set the objectives of their collaboration. Activities may include:
- Knowledge sharing and peer learning.
- Co-design of incubation or acceleration programmes.
- Participation as experts in each other’s initiatives.
- Joint involvement in future projects and funding opportunities.
Collaboration will primarily take place online, but the programme also creates opportunities for in-person exchanges at AEIP-organised events. The first meetings will be:
- AfriLabs Annual Gathering – Nairobi, Kenya (13–15 October 2025).
- AEIP Stakeholders Meeting: Bridging Continents through Innovation: Africa–Europe Innovation Dialogues – Brussels, Belgium (22 October 2025).
- Innovation Fair: Enabling that step forward – Brussels, Belgium (23 October 2025).
Additional opportunities for in-person meetings will be available in 2026 and 2027.
The Twinning Programme will remain open throughout the AEIP project. However, organisations wishing to be considered for travel support to attend one of the October events must apply by 5 September.
Apply now and indicate if you are interested in attending one of the events.
If you have any questions regarding the Twinning Programme, do not hesitate to contact us. AEIP will select the organisations that receive travel support, ensuring balanced representation of both regions. Please note that places are limited and submitting an application does not guarantee support.
